For 80 years, Christian Aid has been powered by changemakers—ordinary people with an extraordinary belief in a better world.
Across decades, through global crises and moments of hope, one thing has remained constant: change happens when people come together.
That’s why the 2025 Changemakers Conference is such an important time for Christian Aid supporters to come together.
Whether you attend in London, at home or at a regional Watch Party near you, join us Saturday 8 March 20205.
All the speakers were great, with lots of clear information. It was good to get to the conference and be with others, without having to travel far.
A legacy of changemaking
From our earliest days, we have brought people together to respond to the world’s greatest injustices. Whether campaigning for debt relief, responding to humanitarian disasters or standing in solidarity with those facing poverty and oppression, you—our Christian Aid supporters—have always been central to the movement.
The Changemakers Conference began in 2021 as an online event to share the Christian Aid Week story and resources with supporters across the nation. Since then, it has grown into a vital space—both online and in person—for sharing plans, fundraising ideas, and hearing directly from partners delivering life-changing work.
So, this year, as we mark 80 years of Christian Aid, the conference is an opportunity to reflect on the impact we’ve made together. We’ll also look ahead to the change we can still achieve.
I’m excited to meet supporters in the UK and share the stories of joy and struggle of people of Guatemala who, despite facing many challenges, are resilient and determined.

What to expect this year
The Changemakers Conference is about more than hearing updates—it’s about being part of something bigger. Attendees will:
- Hear first-hand stories from partners in Guatemala, sharing the realities of climate justice and resilience.
- Learn about Christian Aid’s humanitarian response, including vital work in the Middle East and other crisis areas.
- Discover the campaign focus for 2025 and how supporters can take meaningful action.
- And for in-person attendees in London, you can join practical workshops to connect, learn and feel equipped to make a difference.
The conference has inspired me for this year's Christian Aid Week, more than in the last 30+ years of being the church rep....so thank you!
Why you should be there
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to Christian Aid, the conference is a chance to be part of a movement for justice.
You can attend in person in London, join a regional watch party, or tune in online from home—wherever you are, you’re invited.
For 80 years, Christian Aid and our amazing supporters have been fighting poverty and injustice. We've partnered with communities and organisations across the world to support people of all faiths and none.
'Over these years, we’ve harnessed something formidable. We call it the unstoppable power of hope. Hope has compelled us to stand up for communities in crisis and speak out about the injustice of poverty.
'The Changemakers Conference gives us an opportunity to come together and consider the amazing things we’ve achieved together, and to consider how we can continue to put our faith into action.
