The devastating effects of multi-dimensional climate impact, natural and human-induced disasters, and resource-based violent conflicts cannot be overemphasised in northwest Nigeria. The ECODiN project is premised on the conviction that if state Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) agencies and institutions possess the right capacity and coordination systems for disaster response, then they will be better prepared to effectively respond to immediate needs arising from climate and human-induced disasters in a timely and coordinated manner.
