What types of events can I volunteer for?
You can volunteer at a range of events in your local area. This could including fundraising collections, festivals, conferences, marshalling and cheering at marathons.
Can I volunteer if I’m under 18?
Unfortunately, you need to be 18 or older to volunteer with us.
Can I volunteer if I’m not based in the UK?
To volunteer with Christian Aid, you need to be based in England, Scotland or Wales. We're unable to accept volunteers from outside the UK at this time.
What support will I be given?
We’ll make sure you have everything you need to get started. You’ll find out more about the work of Christian Aid, receive regular updates, and get to meet staff and other volunteers. Any event you attend will have a full briefing and staff point of contact.
What are the benefits of volunteer?
You’ll know that you are contributing to making a difference to some of the most marginalised communities in the world. You’ll be part of a movement for change, meet new people and gain skills along the way. And you’ll be having fun!
How long do I have to volunteer for?
You’ll be offered them as they come up in your area, you’re free to only commit to ones you are interested in and available for. If you decide to support only one event, that’s absolutely fine.
